UTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 12th MAY 2025
Present
Councillors Mr S Hoskins, Mrs K Saunders, Mr K Rhatigan, Mr J Sunley and the Clerk, Mr S Marshall.
Councillor Mellor and members of the public was also present.
- Apologies
Apologies had been received from Cllr Woodford, Cllr Bound, Cllr Dunn and Cllr Parker.
- Election of Chairman
Cllr Hoskins opened the meeting by welcoming Councillors and members of the public to the 2025 Annual General Meeting of the Parish Council.
Cllr Saunders temporarily took the chair and addressed Councillors, asking for any proposals for the election of Chair of the Parish Council. The Clerk had received Cllr Woodford’s proxy vote to propose the re-election of Cllr Hoskins as Chair of the Parish Council. The Clerk had also received a proxy vote from Cllr Dunn to second the proposal to re-elect Cllr Hoskins as the Chair of the Parish Council. The remaining Councillors supported the proposal by a show of hands.
Cllr Saunders announced Cllr Hoskins duly elected to serve as Chair of the Ashford Hill with Headley Parish Council.
- Election of Vice Chairman
Cllr Hoskins moved the meeting onto the nominations for the post of Vice Chair of the Parish Council. The Clerk had received a proxy vote from Cllr Dunn to propose the re-election of Cllr Saunders as Vice Chair of the Parish Council. Cllr Rhatigan seconded the proposal to re-elect Cllr Saunders to the post of Vice Chair. The remaining Councillors supported the proposal by a show of hands.
The Chair announced Cllr Saunders duly elected to serve as Vice Chair of the Ashford Hill with Headley Parish Council.
- Election of the Planning Committee
Cllr Hoskins moved the meeting onto the endorsements for the posts within the Planning Committee for Ashford Hill and Headley. Cllr Hoskins endorsed Cllr Saunders to continue in her capacity as co-ordinator of planning applications as they relate to Headley, which Cllr Saunders accepted. Cllr Hoskins further proposed that Cllr Rhatigan continue to undertake scrutiny of planning applications as they relate to Ashford Hill, which Cllr Rhatigan accepted.
The Chair declared the meeting closed at 7.46pm.
